SUSPACK PROJECT

THE EUROPEAN PROJECT SUSPACK, FUNDED BY THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME, IS AIMED AT BUILDING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AMONG CITIZENS TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING FOR FRESH FOOD AND TAKE-AWAY

ADOC – National Association for Defense and Consumer Orientation, with the participation of two Finnish organizations: the consultancy and research agency Package Testing & Research (PTR) and MARTHA, association specialized in home economics, with the project Building a positive attitude towards sustainable fresh food and takeaway packaging SusPack, intend to raise awareness among citizens on the sustainability of fresh and take-away food packaging.

By improving consumers’ knowledge about the level of sustainability of food and take-away packaging, the project activities aim to promote sustainable consumption habits.

The project activities will involve a target group of 20 consumers (10 in Italy and 10 in Finland), who will participate in a specific training course. A handbook on the theme of sustainable packaging will also be produced and a final conference is scheduled at the end of the project.

By working together, the three participating organizations thus intend to promote the exchange of ideas and transfer knowledge and useful information on the sustainability of packaging, a highly topical issue: during the pandemic, in fact, requests for take-away and food deliveries have increased and it is very likely that the situation will remain the same in the future. Hence the importance of training initiatives like these.
